This app organizes your grocery list for you. It also has a feature that suggests food items as you type, which is good for those forgetful people who always forget that one item every time they go shopping. It will automatically use coupons for specific products you add to the list, which saves you money.

I’ve mastered the art of cooking for most meals, but I have friends who have cooking skills that will make you cringe and want to run away every time they start cooking a meal. For people who wish they knew how to cook something better, this is the app for you.
Grocery Pal
This app searches local supermarkets and stores for the weekly specials and lets you compare prices between competitors. Great resource if you’re looking to save money. It also lets you make grocery list and ORGANIZE your shopping trip by aisle, so you aren’t walking back and forth because you forgot to get something from the first aisle you walked through.
FarmStand
Locates nearby farmers’ markets, which you can save to a list. Who doesn’t love fresh fruits and vegetables?
Substitutions
Need to replace an ingredient with something else? This app comes up with other suggestions to use if you’re missing an ingredient or can’t use one due to dietary reasons.
Yummly
Need recipes? Yummly has plenty of them. You can also scan a product and the app will come up with recommendations of how to cook that certain product.

Where are the local pizza places near you? Pizza Compass will locate them for you.

Who doesn’t love craft beer? This app tells you where the best breweries, bars, and shops are in New York City.

Trying to decide what to drink tonight? This app will tell you what you need to make each drink. Trying to remember a specific name for a drink? This app will help you out.

This app is really cool- it clips recipes you’ve posted online, like those recipes on Pinterest and it’ll even create shopping lists based on those recipes.

Myfitnesspal lets you track calories that you’ve consumed throughout the day.
Fast Paleo
I have friends whose families follow the Paleo diet, so this is a great recipe app for people who follow the Paleo lifestyle.
Postmates
This app will find places that will deliver ANYTHING to you, not just food. (This app is widely used in NYC). Of course, you have to pay fees for delivery, but convenience > price, right? Fascinating concept- I’ve never personally tried this app, but some of my friends have told me about this.
